Mitch Thrower - CEO

Mitch Thrower is an entrepreneur, financier, business strategist, author and triathlete. Thrower is currently serving as founder and CEO of BUMP Network, a technology and marketing services company that provides a platform to assist major brands, affinity groups, and the public sector with membership, registration and CRM. BUMP provides membership management tools that enable an organization to manage all aspects of their membership including registration, communication, event creation and management, back-office infrastructure and data aggregation to drive increased monetization through data insight. Thrower also serves as Chairman of The La Jolla Foundation, a 501c3 foundation whose primary initiative is Project Active, providing money, mentoring, encouragement and education to areas of world tension. Specifically – sending sports equipment to children in war zones.

Thrower is the Co-Founder of Active.com (The Active Network, Inc.)- a software, marketing and registration powerhouse that delivers integrated technology solutions, marketing services and online media properties that encourage and enable participation in activities and events. He also launched ActiveEurope.com (Active Europe Network) as Co-Founder and CEO. This company licensed and operated Active's business model in Europe, the Middle East and Africa. Thrower was the President and Chief Operating Officer of Triathlete Magazine, the world's largest triathlon magazine where he also served as Chairman. He has competed in 20 Ironman Triathlons, including 11 World Championships. Lori Menna- Creative Director

Lori was born and raised in Philadelphia. After receiving an Associates Degree in commercial art from Antonnelli Institute of Art & Photography, Lori decided to further her studies by attending the University of the Arts in Philadelphia and the School of Visual Arts in New York City.

In 2001, Lori relocated to San Diego to pursue a career in art and graphic design. She began as an entry-level designer for Crittenden Communications located in Poway, CA. With her talent and skill, she was quickly promoted to a new position as Creative Director for Luxemont.com, an online luxury magazine. She is currently the Creative Director for Quantum Interactive, located in La Jolla, CA.

Alexis MacMillan - Senior V.P. of Operations

Summa Cum Laude BFA graduate from the University of Denver, Alexis MacMillan currently resides in La Jolla, California where she serves as Senior Vice President of Operations for Quantum Interactive. Originally from Colorado, MacMillan is an avid traveler, having pursued artistic endeavors while living abroad in Italy, Cuba, and globally through Semester at Sea.

Interested in philanthropy, MacMillan devotes time to various charitable enterprises, using her artistic ability to help raise funds for Families First and the National Kidney Foundation. MacMillan dually helps support other world-renowned non-profits such as Project Active, diffusing world tensions through sport.

Roberto Diaz - Graphic Designer

A native of Mexico City, Roberto brings to Quantum over 15 years of experience in
art direction, advertising and graphic design. His experience ranges in a wide range of industries:
From the fast pace action sports industry to the high tech biomedical.
Roberto has won numerous awards in advertising and graphic design .

 

Landen Buckley- VP of Interactive Branding

Landen Buckley is the V.P. of Interactive Branding at Quantum Interactive. Landen was born and raised in Hawaii, and relocated to California in 2004 to pursue a degree in literature from the University of San Diego. As an alumnus of USD and Sigma Tau Delta, the International English Honor Society, Landen continues to have a strong allegiance to the academic community. In addition to his work at Quantum Interactive, Landen is actively pursuing entrepreneurial ventures of his own.

Derek Smith - Resident Videographer

Derek Smith is the Director of Videography for Quantum Interactive. Born in Puerto Rico and raised in such diverse places as Miami, Brasil, Chile, Maui, and New York, Derek’s worldly vision for motion pictures was solidified by graduating with a BFA in Film/Motion Picture from Florida State University.

In 2005, Derek moved to La Jolla, California where he started Fluid Motion Pictures, an independent video production company specializing in all areas of video. Trilingual in English, Spanish, and Portuguese, Derek continues to build his film and video career while surfing, snowboarding, and traveling the world.

Audrey Hurtado - Associate

Audrey Hurtado is a student of business and finance at the University of San Diego. Audrey has 3 years of internship experience in the administrative and finance sector. Prior to joining Quantum Interactive, Audrey has worked as an intern for various companies such as Knova Software and Transperfect Translations. At the University of San Diego, Audrey has been an active community leader since 2005. As a member of Alpha Phi, she has held the positions of Director of Finance, Director of Member Education and Director of Formal Recruitment. She is a member of Order of Omega, an honor society recognizing particularly meritorious men and women in the undergraduate Greek community. Audrey started working for Quantum Interactivein January 2008.

Renee Bishop - Associate

Originally from Washington State, Renee Bishop is currently a student at the University of San Diego, majoring in Business Administration with an emphasis in Marketing. Renee is actively involved on campus as a member of the Student International Business Council, Beta Gamma Sigma, Alpha Phi Sorority and the Honors Program. Renee has traveled to over 18 countries and is interested in gaining knowledge on international business, marketing, and volunteer work. In addition, Renee enjoys running, yoga, and vegetarian cooking.

Suzie Ramos - Associate

Suzie is a La Jolla, California native and student at the University of San Diego. She will complete her Bachelor of Arts in Communication studies and a minor in Business Administration in May 2008. Suzie enjoys the professional fields of marketing, public relations, and journalism. Previously, Suzie worked as an editorial assistant at Devour and Style Magazine and as an advertising assistant at 944 Magazine‚ San Diego. Her strong organizational and interpersonal skills facilitate smoothness and efficiency at Quantum Interactive. Suzie's activities include USDtv, volunteer work for many different organizations, and modeling. She is on the cover of Exquisite Weddings Magazine for Spring/Summer 2008. In her free time, Suzie enjoys traveling, cooking, running, and spending time with her family and friends.

Tim Suski - Associate

Tim Suski is a marketing associate at Quantum Interactive. Tim was able to expand his international business knowledge after traveling and study business in Madrid, Spain in 2007. He has also enjoyed athletics his whole life and is excited to work the business aspect of the sports industry. Tim has been inspired to strive for his goals while bettering the world in his own way. As a participant in the Tijuana Mission club, Tim helped build houses for impoverished families in Mexico. Tim is hoping to gain some experience in the business world by surrounding himself with enthusiastic people and opportunities.

Sam Beaudin - Design Associate

As a senior at the University of San Diego, Sam hopes to realize his aspirations of becoming a designer and entrepreneur upon graduation. Sam has traveled abroad extensively - gathering valuable experiences whose influence can be readily seen within his design work. As a student at the University of San Diego, Sam majored in Business and minored in Marketing. He was a founding member of USD's marketing club, and served as the club's Creative Director. Sam has also been a member of the Student International Business Council (SIBC).

Cassandra Lenzner - Associate

Cassandra Lenzner grew up in San Diego, California. Lenzner was vice president of the prestigious Student International Business Council at the University of San Diego. Janae Ely - Associate

Janae Ely is a native of San Diego, CA who enjoys traveling to many parts of the world. Traveling gives her the opportunity to study, learn and communicate in environments enriched by diversity, culture and knowledge. She is currently attending the University of San Diego, majoring in Business Administration with a minor in Communication. During the summer of 2007, she studied abroad in Guadalajara, Mexico at ITESO University.

Janae stays involved on campus though the Ambassadors Club and Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority. In 2007 she was the Vice President of Marketing for the University of San Diego Ambassadors Club.
